Sanqing Palace is located at the foothills of Meihua Lake in Dongshan Township, Yilan County. At present, there are still house roofs made of slate in De'an Village. The slate used here comes from Dayuan Mountain in the upper reaches of Hanxi. Each piece of slate is punched with a hole, and iron wire is used to pass through the binding to fix the roof to prevent the strong wind from blowing. The early "7-11", also commonly known as Kam-a-tiam(Taiwanese), is located at No. 149, Huanhu Road, De'an Village. It is a stone house made of original Fanshexi shale. The place has in the special "crushed peanut roll ice cream", which mainly uses spring roll skin to combine crushed peanuts, ice-cream and a bit of coriander, so that people will have a nostalgic taste after tasting it. With the end of the war, the battle preparation tunnel gradually lost its original function. Due to the lack of maintenance, most of the battle preparation tunnels have collapsed. The old water plant was established in 1949. In the past, when the water supply was insufficient, the lake water was drawn from Meihua Lake into the sedimentation tank for precipitation and filtration and then the clean water was sent down the mountain to supply the needs of local residents. All drinking water is supplied by the Wan Shan Water Plant. The old water plant is no longer in use. Only mottled water gates, stone steps and concrete buildings are left here. When you come here, it will awaken your nostalgia.
Tudi Gong is the spiritual belief of the villagers where mountain is located. Tudi Gong is said to be very effective. In the past, when the cattle of the villagers were lost, they would go to the Tudi Gong Temple in the forest to pray for. The lost cattle will always be recovered. Therefore, the land that has lived in the mountains and forests for many years is publicly invited to the foot of the mountain. At present, only the remains of a century-old temple of the land are left in the forests. There are many ancient tombs of the Qing Dynasty near the ancient roads in this area back in the day but many of the ancient tombs have been buried in the mountains and forests and it is difficult to find them. "Qing Daoguang 2nd Year" is only found near the old water plant, it was about 1882. An ancient tomb engraved with "Xianfeng Yiweiqiu" was found near the ancient tomb and Daqiupo in 1859. With the appearance of these two ancient tombs, it can be inferred that there was an ancient tomb in this area more than 180 years ago. The people reclaimed, and they also witnessed the history of Maopuwei Ancient Road.
